Born where the forest meets the sea, Maine Mist Co. is rooted in the landscapes of coastal Maine. We make candles by hand in small batches, inspired by nature around us — fog moving through pine trees, salt air along the shore, and the quiet balance between land and water.
What began as a simple appreciation for natural scent and thoughtful craft has grown into a small collection of candles made the slow way. Each one is poured using plant-based wax and scented only with essential oils, with a focus on materials we trust and scents that feel familiar, grounded, and true to place.
OUR CRAFT
Each candle is made using a blend of coconut and apricot wax and scented only with pure essential oils. We don’t use synthetic fragrance or unnecessary additives — just straightforward materials chosen for how they burn and how they smell.
Our scents are built slowly and thoughtfully, drawing from familiar natural elements like evergreen forest, dried herbs, spice, and salt air. Each blend is inspired by a specific landscape or atmosphere found along the Maine coast.
Every candle is poured, labeled, and packaged by hand in small batches. We focus on consistency, quality, and a process that allows us to stay close to the materials and the work itself.
